Across from Kamaole Beach Park II, one of Kihei’s
sunniest swimming beaches, Makai Vista at Kihei Akahi is perfectly situated
for a memorable Maui holiday. You’re coming all the way to Hawaii —
don’t settle for a view of some trees and grass! The first time we walked
into the unit and saw its spectacular, unobstructed 180-degree panoramic view,
we knew it was the place for a great vacation. Makai Vista is on the top
floor, with a private lanai just right for a leisurely breakfast or sunset
refreshment while you enjoy those stunning views. Even the views from the
back of the unit — of Maui’s upcountry and majestic Mt. Haleakala

Completely redecorated with new furniture, beds and linens, kitchen
items, and other special touches, Makai Vista is fully furnished for relaxed
island living. Elegant furniture includes an entertainment center with
flat-panel cable TV, DVD, and radio/CD/cassette. For those unusually hot days
when Maui’s trade winds aren’t enough to keep you comfortable, the
living area has an air conditioner large enough to cool the whole unit.
The workspace has a desk for your computer, free high-speed Internet
service (Ethernet and wireless), a telephone with answering machine (free local
calls), and a mirror so you can enjoy the view. The fully equipped kitchen has
a microwave and dishwasher and there is a washer/dryer in the unit. A
top-quality queen bed and an extra-large and extra-thick queen sofabed —
both with quality linens and bedding — provide comfortable accommodations
for four. We also provide a beach umbrella and beach chairs so you can sunbathe
in comfort!
What sets Kihei Akahi apart from other Maui resort
condominiums?
Kihei Akahi is a complete and well-maintained complex
in the desirable South Kihei/Wailea area with two swimming pools, barbeque
grills, and a tennis court on-site.
The four buildings in the complex are all different
and set well apart from each other within Kihei Akahi’s lush grounds,
so the complex feels uncrowded and relaxed.
Our building is set back several hundred feet from
South Kihei Road so you don’t see the road and rarely hear any
traffic noise.
The complex is directly across the street from Kamaole
Beach Park II, so it’s only a short walk to the ocean. An
adjacent shopping center has several restaurants offering convenient,
casual dining. Supermarkets and several other shopping areas are nearby.
It’s a very comfortable area, great for walking
or jogging.
With sunsets like this from your lanai, you’ll
find it hard to leave Makai Vista. We took this photo on one of our first
stays in the unit and the sunsets continue to enchant us on every visit.
